We are honored to announce Nitya Lohiya as an Honorary Ambassador of our INSPIRE YOUTH JOURNAL – A Global Platform for Youth Journalism!
Nitya Lohiya is a 14-year-old author, youth advocate, and global changemaker using her voice to reshape how the world sees young people. She is the author of 13 Lessons I Wish Everyone Knew at 13 and a recognized Global Change Ambassador, World Citizen Peace Ambassador, Youth Ambassador, and Ambassador to the Institute of Economics and Peace. Her curiosity and dedication earned her a Junior Anthropologist Award, and even as a Teen Judge for the Global Youth Awards 2024 in the UK, she continues to champion young voices and their ideas.
She is the Founder of That Teen, a fast-growing platform empowering teenagers to build, create, and turn their ideas into real outcomes. Nitya also serves as a Teen Advisor at BrandUp and is a 2025 Être TED Education Talk Speaker, inspiring global audiences with her belief that teens are not the leaders of tomorrow but the leaders of today. Whether supporting the upcoming Because I Can film, working on That Teen: The Movie 2025 documentary, or representing youth-led voices from the Club17 coalition formed after the United Nations CSC24 in Nairobi in a global youth working group, Nitya stands for one powerful truth: when young people are trusted, supported, and given space, they do not just change their own lives, they change the world.
Congratulations, Nitya Lohiya!
