“Hello! I am Moska Ahmadzai, a human rights advocate who studies at the American University of Afghanistan AUAF. I worked with a UNESCO project to empower Afghan women through education, interned at the International Model United Nations, and wrote research papers on human rights issues like child and forced marriages in Afghanistan. I have constantly looked for ways to support marginalized communities’ rights and amplify their voices. As part of these efforts, I spoke at the International Council on Human Rights Peace and Politics’ Global Ambassadors Program, where I raised awareness about the hardships local people face in Afghanistan.
As an Afghan woman who is prohibited from gaining education, I am deeply inspired to lead, advocate, and participate in civic engagement activities in order to make a positive change in my community and beyond. As an Aspire Leader and volunteer with Afghans for Progressive Thinking, I strive to make a meaningful impact through leadership and education,” said Moska Ahmadzai.
