Kunga Gyalmo is a Davis UWC Scholar from Ladakh, India (UWC Mahindra, Class of 2026). She is the Co-Founder of the Ladakhi Serving Group (LSG) and the Ladakh Academy of Knowledge and Research (LAKR), initiatives that advance education equity, menstrual dignity, and indigenous knowledge in the Himalayas. Her writing on philosophy and psychology recently earned her a place on the shortlist of the John Locke Institute Global Essay Prize 2025, and she has been recognized as a Harvard Sustainability Impact Summit Awardee. Passionate about economics, philosophy, and social justice, Kunga uses research, writing, and advocacy to amplify underrepresented voices and create meaningful change.
