Indrani Bhattacharjee

Newspaper Writer
“Hi everyone! My name is Indrani Bhattacharjee and I am a high-school sophomore in Ghana.
Writing has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. As a child, I would sometimes write on paper and sometimes on walls (for which I have gotten numerous scoldings…).
Over the years, my love for writing grew, evolving from short stories and homework assignments to competing in and winning prestigious competitions. I am deeply honored to have received the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Writing Bronze Award twice, among other accolades. Recently, I was thrilled to be named Best Orator at a national high school public speaking competition, a recognition I attribute to my foundation in writing. Beyond competitions, I serve as the Blog Department Head at Synergy, where I lead content creation and author weekly or bi-weekly blogs and articles. I am also a huge STEM enthusiast and I hope to become a chemical engineer in the future. I also love dancing and watching cheesy rom-coms!
Joining Inspire Youth Journal as a newspaper writer is a fantastic opportunity, and I am eager to contribute my skills. I promise to give my best and hope you enjoy reading my articles as much as I enjoy writing them!” said Indrani Bhattacharjee.
