Ikenna C. Ezenwa

Ikenna C. Ezenwa is a young leader passionate about youth development, empowerment, and leadership. He is the founder of Young African Leaders for Global Impact (YALGI), an organization dedicated to bridging the gap between access to information, opportunities, and support for underprivileged youths across communities in Africa, starting in Enugu State, Nigeria. He is the convener of YALCON, a premier annual gathering for young people across Africa, a conference that brings together over 300 change-makers, rural community transformers, and drivers of sustainable development every year together in Enugu State, Nigeria. The aim of YALCON is to provide youths with knowledge, training, and support to champion community projects, contributing to socioeconomic transformation and sustainable development.
 
He has participated in many experience-gathering events, including the 2024 NgEducators International Model United Nations (NgEIMUN) Conference, obtained a certificate in Digital Marketing and Content Creation from Tera Learning Academy, participated in the 2024 International Career Coaching Programme—a virtual scholarship program organized by Lancaster University (UK) and funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and the British Council through the National Universities Commission (NUC). He also participated in the 2025 Youth Employability and Wealth Creation Training organized by the Migration and Development Impact Foundation, supported by the Ford Foundation.
 
He is passionate about youth development and empowerment. Since 2020, he has been involved in educating, mentoring, and supporting students and youths in Enugu State through organizations such as Pace-Setters Academy, Sir Iyke’s Academy, and Sound Education Ambassadors. Through these organizations, he has reached and supported over 500 students across secondary schools and tertiary institutions in Enugu State. His mission is to raise transformational leaders through democratization of opportunities and catalyzation of young people’s actions towards achieving Sustainable Development across Nigeria and Africa. 
 
He was recently appointed by Ishkama Group, a London-based organization, as IGC Country Chair on Education for African Youth—a voluntary role he is using to democratize opportunities for the African youths. He is also serving as the Secretary-General of the United Nations Youth Association Nigeria (UNYA-NG), Enugu State, where he creates awareness and champions campaigns for the SDGs in Enugu State. Moreover, he is one of the founding members of Young Diplomats for Sustainable Future, an NGO championing climate change awareness in Enugu, Nigeria. 
 
Ikenna’s works and impact stories have been featured on African Examiner Newspaper based in Baltimore USA, Ishkama Magazine in UK, WFN Podcast in South Africa, SignatureTV, NigerianVoice media, National Leadership Newspaper in Nigeria, and recently invited to a podcast by Dr Anosha, Senior Lecturer, University of West London, United Kingdom. 
 
Finally, he’s a First Class Graduate of English and Literary Studies at Enugu State University of Science and Technology ,where he emerged as the OVERALL BEST GRADUATING STUDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY.
