“Hi, I’m Suri, a student of Vinschool Ocean Park. If I had to describe myself, I’d say I’m curious about a lot of things and not afraid to try new challenges. Debate and public speaking have been a big part of my life — not just because of competitions, but because they taught me how powerful words can be when used to share ideas or stand up for something that matters.

Outside of that, I enjoy taking on roles where I can connect with people and bring them together, like being part of projects or activities where teamwork really matters, because I think the best ideas often come from listening to different perspectives. I have keen interests in writing, from fiction to essays, so, to me, I think that IYJ is a huge opportunity for me to make improvements, especially in the writing league.

I do value the lessons that come from mistakes, the confidence that comes from small wins, and the friendships that grow along the way. At the end of the day, I just want to keep learning, keep challenging myself, and hopefully make a positive difference in the leagues I’m part of,” said Suri.
