We are honored to announce Divine Chukwunyere as an Honorary Ambassador of our INSPIRE YOUTH JOURNAL – A Global Platform for Youth Journalism!
Divine is a young leader, writer, and advocate for sustainable development, with a strong focus on promoting quality education and gender equality. She is currently pursuing an MBA, maintaining an outstanding academic record with a perfect grade of 5.0/5.0 GPA.
She is an Associate Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and the Chartered Institute of Business Administration (ACIA), and a Meta-Certified Digital Marketing Associate. In her role as a Marketing specialist for a beauty brand and other organisations, she has increased the income and visibility of more than five Nigerian businesses by over 40% through targeted marketing strategies.
Her passion for gender equality was ignited in 2021 during a visit to her hometown in Imo State, where she witnessed girls being denied access to education due to cultural beliefs. This experience inspired her commitment to dismantling barriers to girls’ education.
By God’s grace, at just 18, Divine graduated with a B.Sc. (Honors) in Accounting from Covenant University, earning the prestigious Vice-Chancellor’s Recognition for Leadership. In December 2024, she founded My Local Impact Lab (MLIL) and authored the ebook “Secrets to Winning Scholarships Home & Abroad”, through which she has guided over 80 Nigerians—particularly young women—to secure scholarships and global opportunities. One notable beneficiary, Tamunoimim Kalada-Green, gained admission to the University of Oxford for a Master’s in Energy Systems and received funding for the HISA Youth Fellowship 2025.
As a fundraising volunteer with UNESCO Youth Forum Nigeria, Divine raised over two million naira, supporting the return of more than 100 children to primary school in Ogun State. She also served as Financial Coordinator for the 2024 Hult Prize Foundation competition, where she coordinated over 200 young innovators.
A passionate writer since age 12, Divine gained international recognition after winning Silver Awards in both 2023 and 2024 in the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition. This achievement earned her the opportunity to address over 4,000 students and faculty at Covenant University with her speech titled “Believe it, Work Towards It and Achieve.” In April 2026, she was selected as a judge for the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2026, where she will assess entries from over four global regions.
Divine also received a partial scholarship to the University of Oxford Business Summer Programme through the Immerse Essay Competition 2024 and emerged as the winner of the African Pen-Impact Writing Contest 2023. She contributes to sustainability discourse through her writing with platforms such as the ARI Sustainability Initiative Magazine, where she addresses global challenges and actionable solutions.
Further demonstrating her leadership, Divine was selected among the top 13% of applicants from a pool of 3,919 candidates for the IBILE Youth Academy Leadership Training Programme 2025/2026, a fully funded initiative by the Lagos State Government under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Ministry of Youth and Social Development. She would also be a participant in the Cheetahs Public Policy Bootcamp 2026.
Through her work at the intersection of education, policy, and marketing, Divine is committed to amplifying sustainable brands and expanding access to opportunities for young people, especially girls, across Africa and beyond.
Congratulations, Divine Chukwunyere!
