Newspaper Writer
“Hi! I’m a 13-year-old writer from Haiphong City. Multiple factors have helped me see the world from new perspectives, and now, I’d love to share some of that insight through writing.
So why writing, and why IYJ? Similar to how music can express emotions that words can’t, writing lets me explore ideas that speaking alone doesn’t always capture. It gives me time to reflect, to connect seemingly small moments to something bigger—and to share those thoughts with others in a way that feels honest and lasting. It gives me time for thought, to refine and adjust my perspective—and most importantly, to reflect—before submitting each article.
I chose IYJ because it let me explore other young writers’ perspectives on the world. Each day, I read the same, monotone journals each day, all written by adults whose view of the world have dulled; however, IYJ brings a youthful kind of wonder that seems to make even political matters interesting.
Forever dedicated to Technoblade, o7,” said Chau.
