Alia is the kind of person who sees connections, and also embraces them. She’s one to not define, where her role as a Board Member at DTC, IGF (UN) helps her advocate for teen inclusion in policy making, and as a student volunteer for spreading happiness – to one at a time – under Rotary International District 3011 and global clubs including visits to Apna Ghar Ashram, and old age homes, with collaborative projects with Delhi Government and Police Officers.

Bridging science and society has been at the heart of her work. She has engaged in STEM outreach through creative ways that respect the Arts, and developed AI models that counters misinformation.

She has learned that true change isn’t about being seen; it’s about showing up. She has worked for youth-driven policies, conducting debates and public speaking conferences, tutoring students and younger children (tweens), and advocating for mental health and misinformation awareness, built a career counseling website for middle school students and won awards at the national level, and also participated in the world’s largest climate clock assembly all while presenting plays and conducting awareness drives on sustainability. She feels expression is  the basic right of each individual – regardless of age, gender, and race. And that expression must be full; it must be free.
