UT Austin Admission Journey: S. M. Safwan Sanzari, Newspaper Writer of Inspire Youth Journal

Hello everyone,

We’re excited to share S. M. Safwan Sanzari’s journey to The University of Texas at Austin, Class of 2030.

The university is ranked 7th in Computer Science nationally and 30th globally, and it’s recognized as a Public Ivy by Forbes Magazine, with about a 7% acceptance rate for international students pursuing Neuroscience and Computer Science majors.

Safwan has been a standout newspaper writer with Inspire Youth Journal since October 2025. He is an 18-year-old high school graduate from Notre Dame College, Bangladesh. Learn more about him here.

Safwan was honored to be invited to attend the 2026 United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum in April 2026 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

He was recently shortlisted in the Adam Smith Institute: Global Enlightenment Essay Competition 2026 and moved on to the final round in May.

He has also earned a Very High Commendation in the Politics category of the John Locke Institute 2025 Global Essay Prize and received a Bronze Award in the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2025, organized by the Royal Commonwealth Society.
