“Words create impressions and perspective.”

“My name is Hoang Nam Phu (Kin), I’m 11 years old, in 7th grade and I am fond of writing and particularly, translating thoughts into words. Currently, I’m learning at The British International School  Ho Chi Minh City.

IYJ raises my enthusiasm because it allows me to join a global community of writers and a community of their own and, instead of only sending out my views, I can receive others’ views too. For me, writing is not simply a fun hobby but a passion that means going out, seeing and hearing different things and people, and expressing through more than just words.

“Writing is a journey and with every sentence, the reader’s perception broadens a little more,” I say to all of you.

I can think about different problems, take my time to entertain with my fantasy and creative narratives, and I am sure, I will grow and develop as an individual and I am eager to contribute my unique perspectives to the IYJ community. Journalism provides an opportunity to look around me in an entirely different way, push myself harder, and develop both as a writer and an individual in all aspects of life.
